Creator Guide
Striker’s Instinct is a retro-inspired mobile football game built around one core idea: scoring is easy... until it isn't. When the pressure kicks in - be that a head to head with a friend, a last minute chance to seal victory or taking your penalty in a shootout in the World Cup Final - suddenly that simple shooting mechanism isn't so simple!

For creators, the strongest hook is the new World Cup With Friends feature. You can create a campaign, pick a nation, share a join code, and let followers, friends or community members join in. Campaigns support up to 48 players, with AI filling any empty slots, so it works whether you get three people involved or a full tournament.

It is fixed portrait on iOS and Android, so desktop-first creators may need to think a little differently with capture and layout. But that can also be part of the fun: this is a quick, tense, mobile-first football game that can sit nicely inside short-form videos, challenge content, community posts, Discord games, or “can my followers knock me out of my own World Cup?” style content.
The game is quick to understand: aim, shoot, score. Or miss horribly, and let your entire country down. The real entertainment comes from the tiny moments of pressure — cup finals, title deciders, rival matches, and now World Cup campaigns with your mates or followers. Think Words with Friends but for football.
There are no ads, no pay-to-win mechanics, and no subscription. World Cup campaigns are free to play during the 2026 tournament.
The core game itself (a single player Career mode) is free to play for the first season, and then a one off in-app purchase to continue on to season 2 and beyond. Old school playable demo style.
Campaign Information
Coverage is welcome immediately. The game is live, the World Cup With Friends feature is live, and the World Cup starts today (or has started already - depending on when you read this!)
The main creator angle is flexible: play it as a retro football curiosity, a mobile hidden indie gem, a World Cup side-quest, a community challenge, or a playable alternative to the usual office/pub/friend-group sweepstake.
Suggested coverage ideas:
-
Create a World Cup campaign and invite followers to join
-
Play a campaign with friends, mods, subscribers or Discord members
-
Try to win the World Cup with a randomly selected country - see how it compares to what plays out in the real World Cup
-
Make short-form clips around last-minute goals, missed chances and painful knockouts
-
Compare it to old-school football games, but rebuilt for modern mobile
-
Cover it as a no-ads, no-pay-to-win football game in a mobile market that otherwise focuses on monetisation as the core game hook!
The game is available now on iPhone and Android. World Cup campaigns do not require a review code. Full career mode access is available for creators who want to go deeper - but all app features are available to try for free. The paywall is really there for users that enjoy the game and want to spend more time on it and grow their player's career (tamagotchi style)
The app is available globally (we have paying players in 29 countries) and for a nominal fee ($3.99 equivalent in local currency). If your subscribers would like a discount code we can provide these for you too (albiet the app is already a nominal amount)
Game Information
Striker’s Instinct is an old-style retro football game in a modern mobile package — Words With Friends for football, if Words With Friends occasionally made you miss a penalty in front of the entire group chat.
The game strips football back to its most dramatic bit: the chance. You are a striker. You get a handful of opportunities. Aim, shoot, and live with the consequences.
The controls are simple, but the context changes everything. A shot in a normal match feels different from a shot in a cup final. A simple finish becomes harder when your place in the team is at risk, your career is on the line, or your friend is waiting to celebrate your failure.
The new World Cup With Friends mode lets players create asynchronous World Cup campaigns with up to 48 players. One person creates a campaign, picks a nation, and shares a code. Others can join and play their matches at their own pace, with AI teams filling the gaps so the tournament can keep moving.
It is designed for both pick and play fun and long haul grinding, and to capture the joy, drama, and suffering that football games made after 1994 seem to have forgotten all about. No ads. No pay-to-win. No loot boxes. Just a striker, a chance, and the horrible knowledge that this should be easy.
